The First Seminar on EU Integration for High School Students across Albania, was hosted by Jean Monnet Chair Prof. Assoc. Dr. Selami Xhepa, on behalf of the UET’s JM project, Finacial-EU.
This event, centered on the critical theme of economics within the ambit of European Union integration, marked a significant milestone in our ongoing efforts to engage and educate the young people who are not in contact with EU studies, on the most important aspects of EU economic policies and Albania’s integration journey.
The seminar attracted a diverse group of 40 students from various high schools throughout Albania, each bringing their unique insights and perspectives to the discussions. The seminar was led and conducted by the esteemed Jean Monnet Chair, Prof. Selami Xhepa, who set the tone for the day’s discussions by underscoring the vital role of economic understanding and knowledge in the broader context of EU integration.
In addition to the Jean Monnet Chair, the seminar was graced by the presence of other distinguished speakers, professors of UET, with expertise in the field of EU economics. Their participation enriched the discussions, providing a multi-dimensional view on the complexities and opportunities of EU integration.
The agenda comprised a series of expert-led sessions that delved into the fundamental principles of the European Union’s economic policies, including the single market, monetary policy, and fiscal stability, among others. Through interactive presentations and workshops, the seminar provided the students with a robust foundation in these complex subjects, emphasizing the practical implications and opportunities for Albania.
