DIGIVET

DigiVET Albania addresses persistent weaknesses in the Albanian VET system, such as outdated curricula, low enrollment, poor digital integration, and weak links with industry. The project aims to modernize VET education by embedding advanced digital tools and methodologies into training programs, thereby equipping students with relevant, practical skills for ICT, renewable energy, and other emerging sectors. It also seeks to expand structured collaboration between VET schools and businesses, providing apprenticeships and internships to bridge the gap between classroom learning and labor market demands.

A strong emphasis is placed on inclusion and gender equality. Through the “VET for Her” initiative and tailored scholarships, DigiVET encourages young women and disadvantaged groups to enter STEM-related fields. The project will also launch DigiVET Labs in four Albanian VET schools, equipped with VR simulators, AI-powered training tools, and digital resources, while simultaneously training 60 teachers in innovative pedagogy. Ultimately, DigiVET envisions building a modern, inclusive, and industry-responsive VET system in Albania that enhances employability, strengthens institutional capacity, and supports the country’s socio-economic development.
