Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tomi Treska

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tomi Treska is a full-time lecturer at the Department of Psychology, Education, and Sports at the European University of Tirana. He completed his university studies at the Faculty of History and Philology at the University of Tirana, majoring in History and Geography. He also holds a degree in Law from the University of Shkodra “Luigj Gurakuqi.”

He has completed several postgraduate qualification courses, specifically in:

(i) Modernization of the Social Sciences Curriculum – University of Graz, Austria; University of Parma, Italy;

(ii) Project Cycle Management – Sarajevo, Bosnia; Sofia, Bulgaria;

(iii) Conflict Transformation – Ohrid, North Macedonia;

(iv) Participatory Decision-Making – Skopje, North Macedonia;

(v) School–Family Partnership – Tirana, Albania;

(vi) Advocacy and Lobbying – Tirana, Albania, among others.

With a long experience in teaching in university level, enriched experience for several national and international agencies, about cases concerning with teachers’ and principals’ trainings, with the partnerships at school- family, “good” governing, surveys and analysis, reports, etc.

He has published multiple scientific articles in well-known academic journals both in Albania and abroad. Since 2005, he has been the author of history textbooks for the pre-university education system. Dr. Treska has also worked for about eight years with various international organizations and agencies and has served as a member of the National Council for Pre-University Education.
