Abla Xhaferi has a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Tirana. She completed her scientific master's degree in sociology at the University of Tirana as well, while her bachelor's degree was in philosophy-sociology from the University of Elbasan. She has a 13-year career in the academic field, starting as a full-time lecturer in 2011 at the University of Durrës, continuing at the University of Elbasan, and later at the University of Shkodër. Since March 2020, she has been a full-time lecturer at the European University of Tirana, at the Department of Applied Social Sciences. She is proficient in three foreign languages, with postgraduate level diplomas. She is the author of numerous writings and scientific articles published in national and international journals in Austria, Italy, Macedonia, Kosovo, etc. She has participated in a series of national and international conferences. She is also the author of the book "Il diritto dei popoli all'autodeterminazione: Il caso della Georgia", published in Rome, Italy. She is also a member of the scientific committee of the publishing house "TabEdizioni" in Italy.
