Msc. Armand Bora

Armand Bora completed his studies at the University of Arts, graduating as a director in the group led by director Piro Mani. He began his artistic activity at the Petro Marko Theater in the city of Vlorë, continuing his career as a director at the National Theater of Opera and Ballet and the National Theater, where he still holds the position of director. Armand Bora is the author of numerous stage productions, some of which have been realized in North Macedonia, Croatia, Australia, and America. His stage productions have been showcased in various Albanian and foreign venues, including Greece, Montenegro, Bulgaria, Croatia, Serbia, France, the Netherlands, Australia, and America. As the director of several opera productions, he has collaborated with many foreign and Albanian artists such as Ermonela Jaho, Saimir Pirgu, Gëzim Myshketa, Josif Gjipali, the director of the Bulgarian opera, director Plamen Kartalov, and the renowned American director Nancy Rhodes. Armand Bora is the author of six dramatic texts, some of which have been performed on Albanian stages and abroad, such as at the famous La Mama theater in Melbourne, Australia, or at the Producer Club in Off-Broadway (NYC). He is also the author of two short films as a director and screenwriter. Additionally, Armand Bora has authored and moderated several television productions such as “Ora Kulturë,” “Kjo është Koha,” “Rezervuar,” and “Cifti 200.” At various times, Armand Bora has been an external lecturer at the University of Arts and has participated in various conferences and scientific activities organized in Albania and neighboring countries such as Kosovo, Montenegro, and North Macedonia. Armand Bora is a member of the editorial board of the magazine “MEDIUS” and a co-founder of the Medius Communication Institute. He has served as the director of the National Theater and held senior positions in several other public institutions, including the Ministry of Culture and the National Tourism Agency. As part of completing his third cycle of doctoral studies, he is conducting research in the field of adapting literary works for film scripts and stage texts.
