The diploma thesis must be between 9,000 and 10,000 words and is intended to demonstrate the student’s ability to critically collect, analyze, and interpret information, apply a specific model or theory to a concrete case, and present the findings in an academic format. This process is guided by a supervising professor who supports the student through the completion of the thesis. The thesis is defended before an Evaluation Committee appointed by the Department.

The Final Comprehensive Examination is based on a program consisting of 100 questions, developed in alignment with the curriculum of core (Category B) and interdisciplinary/integrative (Category C) courses. The list of questions is made available to students by March of their final academic year, ensuring ample time to prepare for this important graduation requirement.
