MSc. Adelina Muhametaj

Adelina Muhametaj is a full-time academic staff member at the Department of Department of Nursing and Physiotherapy, European University of Tirana (UET).
She holds a degree in General Nursing from the Faculty of Medical Technical Sciences and a Master’s in Public Health from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Medicine, Tirana. She is currently pursuing a Master’s in Diplomacy and International Relations with a focus on European Studies at the Institute of European Studies, University of Tirana.

In addition to her academic work—where she has gained experience as full-time faculty in the Department of Nursing-Physiotherapy, Faculty of Medical Technical Sciences at Albanian University, focusing on Obstetrics-Gynecology, Psychiatry & Psychiatric Nursing, and Professional Practice—Adelina has extensive professional experience in healthcare. She has worked as a nurse in well-known private and public institutions in departments such as general surgery, hemodialysis, and burn-plastic surgery.

She is an author and presenter in national and international scientific conferences, contributing research on nursing care and technological innovation in medicine. Her notable participations include:

  • Active speaker at the 9th International Scientific Conference “Scientific and Practical Interdisciplinary Perspectives in Healthcare in Nursing and Physiotherapy”, organized by Albanian University, (2024).
  • Active participant in the 7th International Congress of Medical Sciences (November 15–17, 2024).
  • Participation in the National Summit of Internal Medicine, focusing on “Application of Scientific Innovations in Internal Medicine” (October 26, 2024).
  • Participation in the conference “Nursing in Albania and Beyond: Integration, Competence, Integrity” (December 1, 2024).
  • Professional training on “Nursing for Patients with Neurological Diagnoses: Stroke, Migraine, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s, Epilepsy” (March 16–17, 2024).
  • Workshop on “Kinesthetic Movements of Bedridden Patients – Models Based on the German Methodology” (November 19, 2024).

In the field of European Studies, she has successfully completed the Jean Monnet modules funded by the European Union, including:

  • “Theories and European Integration” (Nov 2024 – Feb 2025)
  • “Geopolitics and the Western Balkans” (Mar – Jun 2025)
  • “The Political and Economic Performance of Western Balkan Countries in Complying with EU Conditionality” (Academic Year 2024–2025)

Her research and academic focus include public health, professional ethics, quality of nursing care, and the impact of artificial intelligence in medicine. She has presented research on the topic “The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Medicine Beyond Diagnostics”..

Adelina Muhametaj is dedicated to developing students’ academic competencies through both theoretical and practical teaching, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration between nursing, technology, and public health.

She has advanced proficiency in English and German and strong skills in using Microsoft Office applications.
