“Polis” scientific journal that was founded at the same time with UET, publishes the 20’th edition

The Faculty of Humanities, Education and Liberal Arts at the European University of Tirana organized the promotion of the scientific journal Polis 20 with the topic "(Re) Reforming Education". The jubilee issue of this edition is the first issue dedicated entirely to education and education reforms.

Polis Magazine is the first scientific journal opened in the first months of the establishment of the European University of Tirana. The first issue of Polis came out in 2006 and for 10 years published in Albanian new research on the Western Balkans region. Since 2017 Polis publishes articles in English only covering a diverse range of broadly defined theoretical and methodological perspectives in the field of social sciences and humanities.

In the fifteen consecutive years of this scientific journal, with five different editors-in-chief over the years, it has addressed topics in the field of humanities and social sciences for quality scientific research. The journal has a strong interest in the fields of political science, history, law, international relations, social, cultural, communication and public policy issues.

Prof. Assoc. Dr. Belina Budini, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Education and Liberal Arts and Editor-in-Chief of Polis magazine said that"this twentieth jubilee issue is significant for the continuity of this scientific journal, which has passed the years of its establishment university, fifteen years publishing more than one issue a year. This is also the fifth issue in a row in English with publications by Albanian and foreign authors ". Polis encourages young researchers and doctoral candidates at a late stage to submit articles for publication.

Prof. Dr. Drita Kruja emphasized the magazine "Polis" as the oldest scientific journal of the university and with the greatest achievements the greatest achievements of this journal are the indexations, within the request for indexation and we hope that in the future this journal will be ranked" Zv. UET scientific journals are published twice a year. The publications are: in English, apply the ‘blind peer review’ process and meet well-defined structural standards.
