Dr. Teuta Çerpja, Head of the Department of Economics and Finance, holds a PhD in Economic Sciences and has over 17 years of experience in higher education. She serves as a lecturer in economics, combining extensive teaching experience with active engagement in scientific research.
Her primary research interests include public economics and fiscal sustainability, labour economics, applied macroeconomics, economic growth, and microfinance, with a particular focus on economic development, labour market dynamics, and the role of financial systems in fostering inclusive growth, especially in developing and transition economies
Dr. Çerpja is the author and co-author of several scientific publications in national and international peer-reviewed journals. She has participated in numerous academic conferences both domestically and internationally, where she has presented her research and contributed to scholarly discussions. In parallel, she is actively engaged in continuous professional development through academic training and workshops.
