UET lecturers contribute with their articles in Jus & Justicia 15 for the reconstruction of local government reform
The Faculty of Law, Political Science and International Relations at the European University of Tirana organized the promotion of the Scientific Journal Jus & Justicia 15. The theme of this issue, which resumes after two years of absence, was “Overview of the Decentralization process in Albania
Comparative Approach in the Western Balkans ”. This topic was selected out of necessity for changing or establishing a new local government reform or territorial administrative reform as one of the most talked about current political issues. The first issue of the interdisciplinary journal Jus & Justicia was published in 2008 and for 12 years was published in Albanian scientific research dedicated to promoting the exchange of original works and ideas between academics, including theoretical and empirical research in the disciplines of law, politics and international relations. From 2020 the articles are published only in English in order to cover legal and political issues with a special emphasis on the Western Balkans and Albania.
The mission of the Scientific Journal of the Faculty of Law, Political Science and International Relations is to promote the publication of high quality, peer-reviewed books and research papers, reports and reviews, serving as an attractive academic forum for knowledge dissemination and advancement. of academic debate in Albania and abroad. It will be of interest and will serve lawyers, legal scholars, legal practitioners, government officials, local and international organizations, civil society, etc.
In explaining the selection of topics, Prof. Assoc. Dr. Ervis Iljazaj, Head of the Department of Applied Sciences at UET said that “each of the authors of the articles and the university as a whole gave its contribution to this important topic. What makes this magazine interesting is that it has two perspectives: the legal perspective of local government and the political perspective of local government. The combination of these two elements I think makes a very important contribution to this issue of great public interest "thus showing the importance of involving experts in the field in the construction of draft laws or reforms in the future. .
Dean of the Faculty of Law, Political Science and International Relations at the European University of Tirana, Prof. Assoc. Dr. Juelda Lamçe, stressed the importance of scientific research at UET aiming to include articles published in this journal by foreign academic staff "this involvement would have a positive impact in terms of internationalization according to UET strategic priorities, increasing quality and standards of scientific research ”. Jus & Justicia encourages young researchers and doctoral candidates at a later stage to submit articles for publication. “kjo përfshirje do të ndikonte pozitivisht në kuadër të ndërkombëtarizimit sipas prioriteteve strategjike të UET, të rritjes së cilësisë dhe standarteve të kërkimit shkencor”. Jus&Justicia inkurajon studiuesit e rinj dhe kandidatët për doktoraturë në fazën e vonshme që të paraqesin artikuj për botim.
Prof. Dr. Drita Kruja stressed the importance that this magazine gives in the political sphere, but not only, contributing to policy-making. Zv. The Rector of the academic process and scientific research also mentioned the innovation that UET has brought to its scientific journals such as the website of these journals with all the issues, articles and a very prestigious editorial board with well-known local and foreign names.
The scientific journal Jus & Justicia focuses on academic rigor and openness to various methodological and theoretical directions. The editorial implements the policy of quick review of submitted articles and then includes them in future issues, if they pass the evaluation process. The magazine is published in both print and online formats. Topics of this magazine include: EU Law, International Law, Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, Criminal Law, Contract Law, Property Law, Family Law, Intellectual Property Law, History Legal, Legal Theory, Political Theory, Political Philosophy, Political Economy, Comparative Politics, International Relations, etc.
