HEAL-D
HEAL-D seeks to modernize VET systems in Albania and Kosovo by strengthening digital health education and training. The project addresses the rapid technological changes in healthcare, where professionals must be equipped with new digital competencies such as telemedicine, AI-based diagnostics, and cybersecurity. Its main ambition is to bridge the skills gap in health education by creating curricula, digital resources, and practical training opportunities that prepare students and health workers for the digital era.
By bringing together expertise from European training providers, universities, and public health institutions, HEAL-D aims to develop a resilient and inclusive VET framework for healthcare. The project combines curriculum development with practical experiences like internships, while also building the capacity of teachers and employers. In the long run, it envisions improved community health outcomes, a workforce better prepared for digital transformation in healthcare, and stronger institutional cooperation across borders.
