Albanian Banking Association and Credins Bank Albania presented the "Global Money Week" at UET. The most inclined customers towards online services
An open lecture was given today at UET by Mrs. Adja Angjeli, Deputy. Business Director at Credins Bank on the topic: "Youth and Digital Banking". This event was part of the events organized by the Albanian Association of Banks, AAB, within the Money Week 2022.
The lecture was held with students of the Department of Economics and Finance, with the aim of raising awareness of the younger generation to be responsible and financially capable future citizens. This week is an international initiative of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), where many partners around the globe organize diverse activities, to involve young people financially, learning how to care for money, how to save , how to understand the changes in the economic systems where they live, how to earn income through entrepreneurship and lay the foundations for their future.
The Albanian Banking Association selected the topic of Digital Banking for young people, taking into account the radical change in banking, as a result of the global pandemic that occurred, where this week's mission is to promote the importance of financial culture for the general public and in particular for the younger generations.
Prof. Assoc. Dr. Elvin Meka, Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Business and Development mentioned for students the new employment challenges in the field of banking and economics, emphasizing the need for an interdisciplinary specialist, which has come as a result of rapid technological developments in the field of banking. "More and more models or a profession are required, which has expanded knowledge and knowledge in various fields starting from the revolution that is happening and in the context of new challenges", added among others Prof. Meka.
Mrs. Adja Angjeli, Deputy. Business Director at Credins Bank, UET partner, started its presentation on innovative concepts and aspects or digital products launched by Credins Bank, such as: Online Banking, Cards and Point of Service (POS). She went on to mention the benefits that digital banking brings in facilitating the lifestyle, such as: shortening time, geographical convenience, simplifying payments for various purchases, etc. Mrs. Angjeli also mentioned the fact that already 30% of the total volumes of services that were physically performed in the branches of Credins Bank are performed through the online application. This innovation (for three years) is "embraced" more by young people, on average 18-38 years old, as a result of greater knowledge of technological facilities.
Money Week is a very important and educational event for young people around the world, as they learn how to save, how to understand the changes in the economic systems where they live, the value of income and how to earn it the way of entrepreneurship (but not only), to lay the foundations for their future through the financial culture of saving, etc.
