This project focuses on regulating the media environment in Albania in the digital age, aiming to analyze innovative instruments and practices aligned with European Union standards. It addresses challenges related to media pluralism and self-regulation, including ownership rules and transparency of media financing. The research aims to inform Albanian policymakers to meet EU standards.

Objectives of the project
- Provide a new perspective on measuring and evaluating media freedom and pluralism in Albania through scientific instruments.
- Research and provide policy recommendations for improving legislation to foster media freedom and pluralism.
- Dedicate two panels at international scientific conferences on media studies related to Albania’s and the Western Balkans’ integration into the EU.

- Development of an instrument for measuring media pluralism and self-regulation.
- Reports and publications addressing the challenges and improvements in media regulation in Albania based on EU standards.
- Two panels and two publications in scientific journals contributing to debates on media freedom and pluralism in Albania and the region.
