STEPS
The STEPS project, “MSc in Sustainable Food Production Systems,” aims to enhance higher education in food production and safety across participating institutions in the Western Balkans. The project focuses on designing and implementing a new Master’s program that addresses small-scale post-harvest processes, quality monitoring, and safety. The initiative emphasizes improving educational infrastructure, including research laboratories and teaching materials, to better equip students and professionals in the field.
Objectives of the project
- Develop a new Master’s program in sustainable food production systems.
- Enhance the quality of education in food safety and post-harvest processes.
- Establish research laboratories and improve teaching/learning environments.
- Foster collaboration among higher education institutions and industry stakeholders.
Expected Results and Outcomes
- Creation and accreditation of a new Master’s program in sustainable food production.
- Improved research facilities and teaching environments.
- Trained academic staff and professionals in the latest food safety and quality techniques.
- Strengthened collaboration between educational institutions and industry.
Project Activities
- Analyze stakeholders’ needs and best practices in participating countries.
