E-Physio
The E-PHYSIO project aims to enhance the theoretical knowledge, skills, and competencies regarding telerehabilitation for students and teachers in participant WB HEIs. Achievement of this objective will lead to better integration of future specialists into the labor market on actual trends and requirements. At the same time, we aim to strengthen WB partner organizations’ capacity to modernize their HE systems and to respond to actual challenges by implementing telerehabilitation approaches at the university organizational level. The beneficiaries of this project will be the students enrolled in the Physiotherapy specialty (a total number of 350 students) and a group of 50 academic staff, who coordinate these students.
The project focuses on young people, who study in HEIs (Higher Education Institutions) in European and Western Balkan countries through online and offline non-formal educational activities.
Objectives of the project
- To enhance theoretical knowledge, skills, and competencies regarding telerehabilitation for students and teachers in participating WB HEIs.
- To strengthen WB partner organizations’ capacity to modernize their HE systems and to respond to actual challenges in the labor market by implementing telerehabilitation approaches at the university organizational level.
- To strengthen partner organizations’ capacity to foster regional and cross-regional cooperation by providing European expertise, guidelines, best practices examples, and recommendations to harmonize the telerehabilitation-related University curricula in the EU and R1.
Expected Results and Outcomes
- New curricula and a Telerehabilitation online course, included in an e-learning platform.
- Introducing innovative elements in the existing curricula for different clinical disciplines such as rehabilitation protocols and videos, and development of a virtual space that will function as a telerehabilitation platform for virtual practical stages.
Project Activities
- Develop and implement a sophisticated Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) that combines the e-PHYSIO e-learning platform and virtual space for enhanced learning experiences.
- Augment existing curricula for clinical disciplines in rehabilitation with new online training courses for students and teachers, incorporating cutting-edge topics.
- Enhance digital literacy and proficiency among educators as a foundational step for the effective delivery of a telerehabilitation course.
- Promote experiential learning by actively involving students in relevant specialties, ensuring the practical application of online rehabilitation education techniques.
