DRIVE
The project aims to develop the research and innovation capacities of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in Albania and Kosovo. It focuses on enhancing institutional capabilities, improving staff skills, and fostering networking among local and international actors. The project also seeks to establish or strengthen Research and Innovation Support Structures (RISS) within participating HEIs to improve their ability to conduct high-quality research and contribute to the region’s innovation ecosystem.

Objectives of the project
- Improve the research capacities of academic and managerial staff through training and study visits.
- Establish or strengthen RISS in participating HEIs to support research activities.
- Develop new teaching and mentoring methodologies that enhance students’ research skills.
- Promote research excellence and innovation by developing a network that facilitates interdisciplinary cooperation among local and international actors.

- A significant number of academic and managerial staff trained in research and innovation-related activities.
- Establishment or strengthening of RISS in HEIs, with the necessary regulations and strategies in place.
- New teaching and mentoring methodologies developed, validated, and implemented.

- Conduct workshops on teaching methodologies, research management, and project proposal writing.
- Set up or strengthen RISS in participating HEIs, including the development of regulations, strategies, and action plans.
- Establish a network of research excellence and a virtual platform to enhance cooperation among researchers.
- Develop and implement a dissemination strategy, including national info days, publications, and a final project conference.
