CROSS WARP
The WEAVING project, titled “Threads crossing the warp,” aims to revive the traditional art of weaving while promoting social inclusion and creating job opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities and other vulnerable groups. The project develops educational materials, organizes training workshops, and establishes weaving workshops in five European countries. It also creates an open digital platform with educational content to ensure long-term sustainability.

Objectives of the project
- Reintroduce the hand-held loom and preserve weaving as an intangible cultural heritage.
- Promote the inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities through weaving workshops.
- Create job opportunities in the field of weaving for vulnerable groups.
- Create training manuals for both trainers and trainees, including easy-to-read versions for people with intellectual disabilities.
- Set up and maintain weaving workshops in vocational training centers.

Expected Results and Outcomes
- Establishment of functioning weaving workshops in vocational training centers.
- Training of 30 participants per country, including 15 individuals from vulnerable groups and 15 people with intellectual disabilities.
- Development and dissemination of educational manuals and materials.
- Creation of an accessible digital platform for continued learning and collaboration.

- Organize training seminars with a mix of theoretical and practical sessions, lasting 600 hours.
- Create manuals for trainers and trainees, available in both digital and printed formats.
- Develop a web platform to host educational materials and webinars.
- Set up weaving workshops in participating countries to facilitate hands-on learning and job creation.
