Abstract
Hypertensive disease in pregnancy is a group of high blood pressuredisorders that occur during pregnancy and is classifed into 4 categories: pregnancyinduced hypertension (PIH), chronic hypertension, preeclampsia-eclampsia and preeclampsia superimposed on chronic hypertension. About 10% of pregnancies globally are complicated by hypertensive diseases. Hypertensive disease in pregnancy, 17 MEDICUS / NO. 3, 2020 are one of the three major causes of death in pregnancy (16%) along with postpartum bleeding (13%) and puerperal infections (2%)
