Effects of mobility training on flexibility, physical performance and injury prevention in young people

Abstract
The present study examines the effects of mobility training on flexibility, physical performance and injury prevention in young people engaged in sports and fitness activities. In recent years, mobility training has been considered an essential component of physical preparation, due to its impact on increasing range of motion, improving neuromuscular control and reducing the risk of injury. The aim of this study was to analyze the impact of structured mobility exercises on the athletic performance and physical well-being of participants. The study included 26 participants aged 21-28 years, evenly divided by gender and categorized into three main groups: volleyball players, football players and gym participants. The mobility training program was conducted over an eight-week period and included dynamic exercises focused on improving joint mobility, flexibility and functional body control. Data were collected through pre- and post-intervention tests, functional measurements and self-reported surveys. The results demonstrated notable improvements in flexibility, agility, motor control and physical performance. Participants also reported reduced muscle soreness and injury incidence, particularly in high-intensity sports. The study concludes that mobility training represents an effective and sustainable method for optimizing sports performance and promoting musculoskeletal health.
