Since the launch of the Erasmus+ new funding scheme in 2014, UET has made successful progress by working with national, regional and EU universities in several Erasmus+ Projects: 12 Credit Mobility Projects and 7 Bilaterally-based Mobility Projects are opened for students of UET. Credit mobility projects aim to offer opportunities for students to learn abroad, including: Studies, including at Master's level; Traineeships in businesses; Erasmus+ Master loans. It also offers opportunities for staff to undertake professional development activities, including training or teaching.

The Erasmus+ programme of the European Commission aims to boost skills and employability, as well as modernizing Education, Training, and Youth work. Erasmus+ will provide opportunities for over 4 million Europeans to study, train, gain work experience and volunteer abroad.
