The European University of Tirana (EUT) is a leading higher education institution (HEI) in Albania, established in compliance with the criteria of the Bologna Charter, offering study programmes in the three levels of higher education: BA; MA and PhD. EUT is fully accredited by the Public Agency for the Accreditation of Higher Education in Albania and the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education in the UK.

EUT engages in high quality research aiming to establish itself as a leading institution in knowledge production in Albania; a centre of excellence for the academic formation of students; a hub of expertise in the social, political, legal, economic and information technology studies in the country and wider region; as well as a centre of excellence in scientific research. The European University of Tirana encourages a culture of knowledge-sharing, openness and horizontal linkages between HEIs, CSOs, research centres, governmental organizations and relevant stakeholders. To that end, EUT has consolidated its academic journals from 5 to 2 and now publishes Economicus (ISSN: 2223-6295) and Polis (ISSN: 2223-8174). Economicus publishes articles in the field of economics, development and IT, while Polis publishes articles in the fields of social sciences and humanities. EUT’s other journals: Justicia, Educatio and Sociological Analysis have ceased publication as they have been incorporated into Polis. The working language of Economicus and Polis is English, the articles undergo a rigorous double blind peer review process, and both journals have dedicated web pages that make the articles accessible free of charge.
